International Shipping Service Center

The cheapest way to move volume, and the slowest. If your cargo isn’t time-critical, sea freight is almost always the right answer.

Full container load

You take a whole container — 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high cube. Priced per container regardless of how full it is, so it wins as soon as you’re filling roughly half of one.

Shared container load

Your cargo shares a container with other shippers’. Priced by the space you use, so it suits smaller consignments — but allow extra time for consolidation at origin and unpacking at destination.

What’s included

  • Collection from your premises, or receipt at the port
  • Export declaration and shipping documentation
  • Ocean freight and applicable surcharges
  • Import clearance, with duty and VAT calculated before arrival
  • Delivery to the consignee’s door

Transit times

Sea transit varies with the commodity, the routing, and how clearance goes at each end. We give you a realistic estimate when we quote, and we keep you updated through the shipment — including when the news isn’t good.

Watch the free time at destination. Ports allow a limited number of days before demurrage and detention charges start. These build quickly and they’re avoidable. We tell you when the clock is running so the container doesn’t sit there costing you money.

What we need to quote

  • Collection and delivery addresses
  • What the goods are, and the HS code if you have it
  • Gross weight, and dimensions or pallet count
  • Your incoterms, if they’re already agreed
  • Target shipping date
